i don't think any of us really doubt your story, i think this thread is a reflection of the deep reverence for the Porsche brand among enthusiasts especially the Turbo, which even diehard Japanese fans of the NSX, still drool over. I also agree that street racing is more than just the published numbers, but have you ever been in a Turbo?

 

I rode in a 97 911TT. The car is sick. Although my car is as fast, this car pulled with such velocity and smoothness that it actually scared me. It seemed to have the same power in 4th gear as it did in 3rd - it just kept puuuuulling - sounded like a vacuum cleaner too. The 400 hp 911 TT and the 240 hp stook can't me mentioned in the same sentence as far as anything - it's just that much better in all categories - yes, even handling.
