Default 99-04GT

I have a 2001 6-speed stock WS6 and I just got a full tank of gas 5 miles before this happened.

The other guy (Cool guy, talked to him before the race b/c we had several poorly timed races before, pulled over, agreed on the next race.)

40-??? with him honking it off was what was agreed to.

He honked it off, I waited until I heard the first bit of acceleration from his car and then NAILED it. I let off at the top of 3rd (100ish).

We pulled over and I asked him how he would call it. He said "You definitely pulled on me, 2 cars or so, if we had kept going you would have had me by 4 or 5 (I dont know how fast he meant by "kept going"). I said "I thought it was 3", he said if I counted my rear bumper pulling to his front bumper, then yes, it was 3. (That was what I had meant by 3. He meant 2 cars worth of space was between our bumpers.).

All in all, GOOD RACE! I don't know the year of the GT, I neglected to ask. He did have a fenderwell CAI and a flowmaster cat-back/mufflers? The car was a 5-speed.

+1 to a great race and a good sport!

Not yet. I plan on dynoing the car first, no numbers of any sort yet.

Good runs. How fast did you go? If I was able to stay within three cars of an LS1 f-body in my car, I'd be thinking something was wrong with the f-body (unless it was a short race - 40-70 or something.)

your trap speed at a strip will give you fairly accurate hp info. As long as your 60' is under ~2.2, your trap speed should be fairly consistent. A dyno is better for noticing improvement/tuning than for telling you if your car makes the kind of power it should.
