Acura CL-S kill
I was going home last night and took the long way home down 2222 so I could have a little fun. On 360, I pull up to a light next to a new Acura CL-S. I looked over, admiring it, but the couple in the car didn't seem to be paying any attention. The light turns green, and as I'm gently taking off from low rpms, the Acura guns it. Those of you who know me realize that I'm not into street racing, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to play a little. I gunned it (keep in mind that I launched ~2K rpm, not anticipating this), and had several lengths on him in no time. We both let off as soon as it became clear that this was no contest (70-80ish), and the other driver hung way behind me afterwards!
It's not exactly a big kill, but it's fun knowing that the other driver got killed trying to impress his wife or gf w/ a surprise launch.

How long was the distance you had to cover before you caught/passed the CL?
The last time I launched @ 2K against a CL-S I couldn't catch him. . . The distance covered was about a 1/4 mile. I closed the distance and probably would have passed him after the 1/2 mile mark, but didn't get the chance. . .
Either way, I have a new found respect for the CL-S. . . Especially from a dead stop. . .

Ya I raced a CL-S rolling from about 20 and we were pretty much even, I pulled slowly. By the time we were at 75, i was 1/2 a car in front of him. The CL-S is a fast car, especially with the decent torque, it will give the S2000 a real good run from a roll.
