yes you can beat them, they run high 14's

Be sure to dump the clutch at high RPMs if you want to win. With an off idle start, it could be very close. Those cars are fast.

 

I think question you need to ask is: Can a CL Type S beat a S2000? NO!!

The best i've see one run at the track is 15.20, so if you can't beat that you have a problem.

 

encounter from last night...

doing 140 in the middle lane, CLS zooms by in fast lane doing whatever, i drop 2 gears and catch up fast, on his bumper in seconds, hit 225 and passed him on the OUTSIDE of a long left hand constant radius sweeper on the highway, i think he slowed for the bend - i don't think he could have maintained his speed through there - the S is a total package - speed and handling...i love it.

 

come to tampa and try out a nice 14.05 cl-s runner. my brother's friend has one stock with just vtec controller and intake. i have tampa folks to vouch for that. those cars are very capable to kill an s2000 especially if the driver of the s2k does NOT know how to drive at all.

 

so it's not stock then

 

dun forget the acura cl-s get's a 6 speed manual transmission next year 260hp mated to a 6 speed i can only imagine
