Default All these drag races

Take an s2000 on a back woods twisty road and forget about it.........true enjoyment...The car is a roadster not a dragster. On the back twisty no automatic is coming even close to staying with the s2000. Second and third gear have so much play with the high rpms....true driving bliss. If ya gotta drag ....Make sure ya launch..(7000 rpm)....or you are toast.....p.s......Just got my s2000 a few weeks ago
....just tried the twistys on tiny back roads for the ultimate driving expierence....forget bmw ....I got an "s".

I own a sportbike and it is all about the twisties, but sometimes my friends and I will go out and just drag race the bikes on some deserted street and that is just as much fun. Plus you get less crashes just drag racing bikes.

What he said! I spent 15 years living in south central Indiana before being , er - "relegated" to Chicagoland. Where before I could simply ride a few miles out of town and be in twisty heaven, now it's land-grant gridlock. Oh, to find a decent paying engineering job in Bloomington! ...

There are some interesting roads in the Chicagoland area (few!). A lot of the local car and bike guys play around on the roads in the Burr Ridge-Lemont-Lockport canal district around Argonne. Just be careful - lots of deer / cops / kids.

Now I'm not saying they compare to southern Indiana (or even remotely compare to Asheville, NC), they are "twisties" for Chicagoland: the road include 95th Street/Archer Ave past Waterfall Glen, Lemont, and Bluff Rd over to Joliet road. I live on one of these roads and from my kitchen I have personally witnessed 2 motorcyle accidents and 2 cars hit deer (VERY active at dawn/dusk). On some of these roads kids play near the street so *please* pay attention.

I've got a friend that rides bikes that is from Chicago and he that the freeways here in California are twistier(sp?) than the twisties(sp?) roads in Chicago.
