A couple weeks ago I was driving home from L.A. to Vegas and stopped by barstow for some gas and some coffee.I was getting back on the hwy and someone was tailgating me so i gave it a little gas shifting at about 5k(I normally shift at 4k)as I'm going I can hear this guys exhaust and hes at WOT.(was really loud) As I'm getting on the hwy he passes me and gives me a look(move that slow as car outta my way look)he did pass me but judging by how slow he was pulling away if I was boostin I would've raped him.Lucky for him I had a cup of coffee in my left hand and a bag of peanuts in my right.

Just wondering... can those cars be made fast?

A cousin of mine has one and i was using her car for the weekend and i didn't feel any type of power from the car(cousins car is an 03)this car looked the same.

What year Altima was it? Was it a V6? Only a V6 with 5 speed and I/H/E is going to give you a run for your money. The SE-R might be a drivers race from a roll, from a stop you can edge him out.

 

v6 can be a race, 2.5 will probably have a catasrophic failure before you get a chance to engage, if for some reason the 2.5 does not blow up, it would still lose. the v6 is the same vq35 nissan puts in everything, so there is potential if nothing else.

 

my cousin has a same looking car and her car is an 03...it was late at night i couldn't see a v6 badge,wasn't paying too much attention..you sure he would've gave me a run for my money.....?look at my S/N carefully.

If it had dual exhaust it was the V-6 and the are pretty fast. And the SE-R Altima is the second fastest car in the Nissan lineup!

 

if your boosted and hes not, or not running nitrous no it would be a rapage.
