Default AP1 S2000 VS SUPRA TT

i know i have read lots of people want to know how there s2k would do againt a supra and i have the answer. So one of my friends got a twin turbo supra and we had a little race, two actually. my ap1 is bone stock, no mods what so ever. his supra has a full front mount intercooler and full exhaust other than thats it is completely stock. the first race was from a digg up to about 85 he got me by a full car and i only launched from 3500rpm so i kinda bogged at the line. the second run we did from a 20mph roll and went to about 90. when we let off i was ahead of him by a full car. this saturday we are putting a down pipe on the supra and turning the boost up to 18 psi which will give it about 100 more whp sounds crazy but it literally gives it that much more power. i wont be able to touch him after wards until i get my turbo kit. the verdict is a stock s2k can take a stock supra in the quarter, after that the supra is gonna blow by. i hope this helps any body that was wondering.

Well either your friend cant drive or the front mount and exhaust is robbing him of power. Supra will spank you, especially from a 20 punch.

A supra with a decent driver bone stock can run a low 13 with a trap speed of 105-107.

And by launching at 3500, it sounds like you cant drive either. A 3500 rpm clutch drop is more likely to break your diff than a 6000 rpm drop.

the reason i launched low is because neither one of us wanted to take off to hard. a bone stock supra does not run low 13's on street tires. as i have owned 2 turbo cars a front mount intercooler and exhaust does not rob a car of power. most supras that you will encounter already have the mods on it to have the boost set at 18psi. stock supras only run .7bar which is about 10psi. my friends car is all stock right now so it's not the "supra" that has monster horse power. once we put on the down pipe and turn the boost up on saturday it will spank me but until then it's just not that fast. i dont know if you have ever owned a turbo car but from a roll you are not making any boost unless you are brake boosting and he wasnt, thats why i took him hard. if we were to start a run from 3rd gear he would kill me all day. it shouldn't be to hard to believe because supras are not that fast all stock.

A stock supra TT will run a mid 13sec 1/4 mile all day long, even with an average driver, and it will trap better than an S2000 too. I am not questioning the results of your race, but the facts are indisputable. The supra is a significantly faster car.

Not to mention a full exhaust on those things is worth at least 15-20hp on stock boost.

LOL, keep dreaming.

i hope this helps any body that was wondering.
Sorry, I don't think anyone here was wondering. Most people here know reality.

stock supras only run .7bar which is about 10psi
Stock boost level on the 93+ TT Supras falls between 11 and 12PSI.

i dont know if you have ever owned a turbo car but from a roll you are not making any boost unless you are brake boosting and he wasnt, thats why i took him hard.

a stock Supra TT will run mid to high 13s with a good driver. no stock s2k can handle one.

However we can take one of the NON-turbo supras with some good driving

You don't even need to be a good driver to beat a non turbo, they are 15 second cars stock.

I seen one at the track pull a 14.2. It may have been modded, not sure
