AP1 S2000 VS SUPRA TT
i know i have read lots of people want to know how there s2k would do againt a supra and i have the answer. So one of my friends got a twin turbo supra and we had a little race, two actually. my ap1 is bone stock, no mods what so ever. his supra has a full front mount intercooler and full exhaust other than thats it is completely stock. the first race was from a digg up to about 85 he got me by a full car and i only launched from 3500rpm so i kinda bogged at the line. the second run we did from a 20mph roll and went to about 90. when we let off i was ahead of him by a full car. this saturday we are putting a down pipe on the supra and turning the boost up to 18 psi which will give it about 100 more whp sounds crazy but it literally gives it that much more power. i wont be able to touch him after wards until i get my turbo kit. the verdict is a stock s2k can take a stock supra in the quarter, after that the supra is gonna blow by. i hope this helps any body that was wondering.
Well either your friend cant drive or the front mount and exhaust is robbing him of power. Supra will spank you, especially from a 20 punch.
A supra with a decent driver bone stock can run a low 13 with a trap speed of 105-107.
And by launching at 3500, it sounds like you cant drive either. A 3500 rpm clutch drop is more likely to break your diff than a 6000 rpm drop.

A stock supra TT will run a mid 13sec 1/4 mile all day long, even with an average driver, and it will trap better than an S2000 too. I am not questioning the results of your race, but the facts are indisputable. The supra is a significantly faster car.

stock supras only run .7bar which is about 10psi
i dont know if you have ever owned a turbo car but from a roll you are not making any boost unless you are brake boosting and he wasnt, thats why i took him hard.

You don't even need to be a good driver to beat a non turbo, they are 15 second cars stock.

a stock Supra TT will run mid to high 13s with a good driver. no stock s2k can handle one.
