Default AP1 S2K vs GTI MKV

His mods: stage 1 tune, cold air intake

My mods: no spare/tool-kit, headers, 70mm exhaust, K&N drop-in filter

1st race we started at a 30 MPH roll. I lost by half a car.

2nd race we started at 25 MPH roll. I won by a car

3rd race didn't count because I hit my rev limiter on the shift to 3rd (at 9300 RPM! ) so we had to re do it. (I was winning though )

4th race I won by 1.5-2.0 cars.

We went all the way to 120 MPH.

Every race he got the jump on me at the beginning and held on, but the higher the MPH got the more I pulled on him. Once I hit 3rd gear it's a steady pull and sure loss for him, as I can hold my gears longer and just use my power band to reel him in and pass him.

You probably would have done a little better if you'd get rid of those extra headers. That's just extra weight!

Someone was gonna say it, might as well be me!

Haha oops, added in that extra S.

This guy with the GTI is trying to get better mods so he can beat me now.

i smashed one of those from a dig 3 times in my ap2..

only mods are skunk 2 springs.. and a berk test pipe..

beat a stage 2 gti by like 5 cars or so from a dig..

then i just raped a stock one because the driver was talking shit on sunday night.. i couldnt even count how bad it was.. lol

im sure 30mph isnt the best roll for an ap1.. me and my friend (bolt on ap1) went from 25 and it was pretty even all the way until 112.. when i went into 5th at 100.. that killed it for me, since he was still in 4th..

What does a stage one tune give them?
I raced a new style gti a while back when I was NA but had 4.77's and crushed him real bad from a 1st gear roll.
