ha you think thats bad ^^^ try having your friend in a full bolt on si running 14.0 flat at 100mph and then same day running a 13.8 on a 75shot at 108mph. thats his fastest past on DRs...NO WHEEL SPIN IN 2ND. i dont get it at all.
My buddy ran 13.77 @ 101.3 with a 2.1 60 ft.
Never driven the R/T. I own an AP1 and a 2010 SRT8. In a straight line the HEMI ought to cook the Honda, but as far as the handling and quality of the ride, the S2000 stands out. The S2000's lack of low end torque commands a different ride altogether,. It takes getting into VTech to really appreciate the S2000's acceleration, while the SRT8 opens up right from the jump/off the line. 2 completely different philosophies. It's a bit disorienting switching between the 2.

I had an S2000 and a HEMI Challenger back to back (to back with the Challenger in between two s2000s). Anyway, It's an apples to oranges comparison. The Challenger is a big, comfy cruiser that is anywhere from a lounge chair with good fuel econ (v6 with 8spd) to a track car (Hellcat with widebody) to the fastest drag car from a dealer (Demon). I'm sure a Hellcat beats an s2000 at everything. And it should given the price. I'm not sure how the ride of the s2000 stands out - maybe in a bad way but a Challenger rides way better with no squeaks or rattles.
It will be interesting when they go to the Guilia (D body, smaller) platform and still have 840hp. It was great for DDing and road trips, the reasons why most people buy cars.
That said, I have an s2000 again. It's not the logical choice but its more fun and more me.
Holy ancient thread.
