I was on my way home on HWY 70 from marysville and was on the slow lane. There was a camaro ss on the fast lane and no other cars in front of us for miles away. I was approaching him and started to pass him. As soon as i started to pass him, he speed up and we were line up at approximately 70mph. I downshifted to 3rd and now I'm in the vtec zone. my car jump forward and tires chirps for a sec. I was passing him by his fender until the rpm was a bar away from redline, then i shifted to 4th and looked over to the camaro. The guy in the passenger blew me a kiss and the car just flew pass me. I think he like me or something but too bad, Im straight. Overall, it was fun and yes, of course road racing is dangerous, but it's only one or two times in a blue moon for me.

Ya my buddy. I wanted to do a long run or a freeway with him because I beaten an Evo x mr on highway lol. But then again, the Evo did have 2 passenger and I got one in my car

NO, I think what the OP did was slammed the shifter into third 3rd gear without revv matching. Good and quick to way f@#ked up the drivetrain...

 

No. I left off the gas first, then clutch in and downshift to third, then my tires chirps and I floored the gas. So yea, I chirped in 3rd gear during vtec range. I was never in 2nd.

 

Sounds like you didn't blip the throttle to not lock up the tires..
