yeah, he had bolt ons as well. those 4.77's do pretty well, but after he shifted to 4th I started walking away pretty well. I've heard of 4.77 ap1s doing pretty close to the same as a base CTSC'ed ap1 in the 1/4 mile.
I believe one of my local friends has 4.77's now, I'll see if I can arrange something.

when going to gears you need to know whens the right spot for you to go at it because if you start off right from +6.5k rpms when you got gears the moment you floor it your just gonna have to shift right away and its gonna slow you down, thats if your going from 1st gear but like one of the other posters said start off in 2nd gear then thats when the gears would really shine. not saying gears are bad for 1st gear im just saying if you start off a little too high like you would with stock gears then what happen in the video will happen and it also comes down to the driver. just my 2 cents and from what i have learned from my gears

I try to start off right below my peak torque. Peak is ~7k on my car, so I start out at like 6.2-6.5k and it usually puts me in a good spot. Especially if you have stock 6k vtec engagement, if you start below 6k, your losing to yourself.
