ran one of my buddies with a bolted on e36 against my 03 ap1 with an exhaust, i believe the M had I/E pullies and a chip.. first run he had a passenger who roughly weighed about 210 lbs... from a roll of 65 we honk 3 times but the M took off in the 2nd honk and got about 1/2 a car lead on me all of 3rd gear by the time i hit 5th i got the lead by a bumper and it feels like my car was still pullin but we shut it down 2nd run i had the passenger and we rolled it from 55mph all the way to 110, the M got me by 1 car, last run was from 65mph to 110 and i lost by half a car.... the M driver was a good driver and im ok i guess.. does this sound about right??

 

stock for stock these cars are pretty even.. slight edge to the S. With full bolts on, this sounds about right.

 

What gear were you in when you started each run?

But yes...sounds about right. They are very closely matched when both have good drivers at the wheel.

 

the first run was at 3rd i believe i was at 6.5k rpm... the second was at 2nd gear and i think i was at 7k rpm.. last run was at 3rd at 6k rpm... first run he had a passenger and i couldve pulled on him by 1/2 a car to maybe 1 car... all the other runs I had the passenger and he pulled on me by 1/2 a car... im pretty satisfied with the outcome knowing that the M had way more bolt ons compared to my mod which is only an exhaust

 

stock for stock you should whoop an e36 unless you're in reverse and you start out of vtec.

With his mods he should've pulled, which it sounds like he did.

haha the guy who owns the M claimed that he smashed on a evo with a turboback by 2 cars that same night... is this possible? and how would my S with an exhaust and testpipe do against a stock evo and sti from a 3rd gear roll?? just curious

 

He might have against a evo 8 not against a evo 9 with basic mods. Shoot, I haven't ran into any E36 that wanted to race me. They just think there freaking fast. I ran a couple of E46 and put atleast 5+ cars on them.
