good runs, but i have to disagree about the gearage issue. i've pull 1/2 on a 4/57'd s2 on the hwy.
In terms of stock geared car races, they are easily staged. If you were to race me from 60, you would lose terribly.
If I were to race you from 100-117 it would be about dead even, although you would have a 2.5% gear advantage to 117. The power peak on our cars isn't redline, so winding out each gear to the end may result in slow acceleration towards the end of 5th and/or sixth gear as the wind picks up and lack of power kicks in.
The only stock gear high speed test I had was up to 138 in 5th gear with the top down. From 130-138 it took forever. Now its a breeze. On paper, the stock geared car should carry a slight advantage from a gear perspective at that speed. But, the reality has been much different. Looking at turn zero charts I would be spinning 8500 rpms at 136, while a stock geared car would be spinning 8800. So, perhaps I'm in a better power band at that point.

All I know is what happened. Perhaps not enough credit is given to the AEM V2 intake an/or VAFC tuning.

I have I/E VAFC, and fron a dig, my friends IS350 pulls like a mofo on me.
Give it I can't launch for sh!t.. I haven't raced him from a 30 because he's scared... but I'd like to see how that'd turn out.
Anyways.. I'm sure if I could launch correctly, I could probably keep within 1/2 a car of his.. those things are pretty fast!

But they do have paddle shifters.
