But, the installer of my gears has 4.77s on a n/a S with heavy tuning and 100 octane and he's done 13.1-13.2 with cheap street tires. Assuming you didn't blow your differential, with slicks he could easily hit 12's.

Haven't and probably won't track the car. None of my friends are into racing and I can't see going to the track by myself.

Oh and 100 octane on a stock ecu wont add any power. our ecu's wont adjust timming for anything past 93. its all on pre-progamed maps. trust me a i've tried it.

i would love to see that. my guess is that with a 1.9 60', some lighting shifting you might hit 13.2's. you're not going to break in to the 12's with just the gears and bolt ons. slick might net a you a tenth down to 13.1's.

If you think slicks will only knock a tenth off the quarter, you need to try it.
Been there, done that 15 years ago in an 88 5.0 LX. My best time with slicks was over 1/2 second improvement over street tires. Now, this isn't the the same type of vehicle, but .1 in 1/4 with slicks and hooking up from start? That's a bit pessimistic.
He's already done what you'd love to see. What he is attempting may not be possible on street tires, and that's to break into the 12's with no forced induction or nitrous, and no slicks. I don't think its going to happen b/c of traction. But, with slicks, I don't see how he woudn't already be there.
I wouldn't say bolt-ons, meaning just intake, header, exhaust and gears. I'm talking all of the above, major head work, and stand alone tuning for 100 octane and someone who knows what they are doing and has money to spend on this project.
Just 4.77's and basic bolt ons won't get you into the 12's.

Nobody said anything about stock ecu, obviously he has stand alone unit.
