Had a run in with one of the newer Camaros tonight. Black, V6, stick (I assume), and sitting on some 22's I think. To make it short and sweet we ran twice..

*My S2K is virtually stock with the exception of a 3" cat-back.. I don't know how much power it actually makes though in comparison to how much noise it makes. lol

1) He was about a car length ahead and he wouldn't slow down to line up, so once he heard me to drop to 3rd he hit it too. I was at about ~65mph in 3rd gear and I managed to reel him in and pull a car length on him before shutting down at ~90mph.

2) We pulled up to a light and I told that I actually wanted to line up and give him another shot. 30mph in 1st gear, 3 honks and we're off! Almost immediately I start pulling and I shut down about 1.5-2 car lengths ahead after shifting into 3rd gear.

All in all, some decent runs. Nice guy. He gave me a thumbs up and went on his way and I did the same. . Good to know that the little 4-banger can hang.

The factory 20's hold the SS camaro back as it is.. I can only imagine how much slower the v6 is on 22's..

I ran one once when I was stock, he just took off on me.. I dropped down to third (roughly 60ish mph since we were on the interstate) and was able to pace him about a car length back.. (probably would have killed it if he had dubs on though)

 

Good kill. Sounds about right, v6 Camaro at 300 bhp.

 

I raced a new ss from a dig, he put about 5 cars on me lol and this was a flagged race and all the thing sounded awesome

 

I ran an automatic SS camaro from 0-40 or so my chick friend was driving, we just both romped on it at a green light, I pulled about a car. But everytime I run into one of these on the freeway they are just goneee. Havent got to run one on spray yet though.

Good kill on the v6 however Ive always wanted to run one, but havent had a chance yet

 

With a 75 shot + your mods, I can't say that you'll pull but I do think it'll be close with the edge going to the SS. Just my opinion, either way it'll definitely be a good race when it does happen.

I'm basically stock and I pulled him pretty bad, you'd murk a V6. hahahaha

 

Raced a newer SS in my stock my08 from about a 60 mph roll going up 95n I shut down at around 130 and was atleast a car ahead. Third gear drop and the S was like a bat outta hell on a nice 55 degree day.

 

Bullshit. An SS would RAPE you at those speeds. Did you hear me?.. RAPE you.

You would stand NO chance. none.
