Default Ap1 vs rx8

i was at the red light when i see this guys coming. He had a grey rx8 (everything stock from the look and the sound). the light goes green and i heard him flooring his car, i floor it too. thought it was faster

1 gear = 3/4 of a car length
2 gear = 2 car length
3 gear= like 3 or 4 cars behind.. dont even count

mine is stock except CAI and the coolant bypassed in the IM.

I have raced an Rx8 also before, and dunno why they seem so slow. Maybe because it is a auto?

You should make your story an actual story. Details are what makes it fun to read.

The Rx8 is overrated in terms of power. They compete more with the likes of the RSX type S. They get manhandled by the S2000.

I raced a stock one yesterday in my '99 AP1, and it wasnt too slow.. I was only j-u-s-t pulling ahead very slowly.. Although I was only revving to about 8200 or so. Maybe that makes the difference?

Then we were going around a corner, and he had to slow down way more than I did...

An RX8's handling is about on par with an S2k and the braking is marginally better, but it turns out that they are putting down only 170-180whp stock.

Matyi, maximum acceleration for you is maximum RPM before each shift. Shifting at 8200 will make you much slower.
