Default AP2 vs SRT-4 + 2

So last night I was driving home from my sister's house around 2am and decided to drop the top (despite the temp being in the mid 30's). As I entered the highway, there was an SRT-4 with two girl passengers) riding my ass. As soon as I switched lanes to let him pass, he lines up trying to get me to run but I'm not one to drive fast or crazy so I let him do his thing. After about 5 mins, this guy was still trying to get me to run so I figure what the hell... drop it to third (just under vtec), honked 3 times and we were off ... I let off around 115 and had about 4 cars on him. We both slowed and lined up again. I honked 3 times but he took off on 2. He jumped 1 car on me but I quickly reeled him back in as I went through the revs in 4th and inched past him about 1 car as I hit the end of 5th. I figured he'd get the message and leave me alone but to my dismay, he was right back next to me trying to run again. I wasn't in the mood to waste any more gas and just wanted to relax and enjoy the cool air so I just tucked my face back into my northface jacket and just ignored him as he kept taking off and slowing down next to me trying to get me to run until he hit the exit (10 miles later!!!). Some people...

But good times nonetheless!

what do you have done??? Cause S2K's that I've raced with bolt ons are a few greyhounds behind (please don't fly off the handle, they are just cars, it's possible for them to lose)

Nice kill. Most Neon owners are annoying and race everyone they come into contact with. Some Neons are fast though and I give them props.

just an adjustable wastegate, and a catback exhaust (which does nothing)

When I had my SRT-4, all it took was an AGP adjustable WG for a few more lbs of boost up top, a 3" dumped exhaust and a 160 t-stat to run a 13.3@104 on the factory tires. This was with a 1.9 60 ft. though. About $200 in parts to drop my 1/4 time almost a full second. This S2k either has FI or the SRT guy knew what he was doing and was playing around trying to race in fifth gear.

you trapped on the low end...I trapped 103 stock and 108-107 after the WG and exhaust...Boost leaks are a neons worst enemy..you probably had a few

Not trying to jack the thread, but i seen that episode thats in your sig. All that shit on his civic and he wanted 20 cars on an 11 sec trans am. I hate ricers no matter what they drive(its an attitude not a car, IMO you can still be a ricer in a corvette). Run what you brung and hope its enough.

With just an adjustable wastegate and a catback, your SRT-4 is not that fast. It would be handled by a lot of minor bolt-on S2000's.

Ask me how I know..
