Default Asshat

This is my vent:
So on my way to redneck town, I'm on a two lane road and the guy in front of me in a corolla is varying his speed from 45-55mph and back and annoying me. So I wait until I've got a pass zone and downshift to fifth and as soon as I get next to him he starts laying on the horn. I just ignored him and me and my buddy laughed at him. So I noticed the guy increased his speed after I passed him, so I thought just a typical asshole driver that's pissed because his top doesn't drop. So when the road goes back to a four lane I drop to fourth in an attempt to lose the guy, well the four lane lasts about an 1/8th mile so I only manage to get one car between us, one car is pretty good for bum**** hicktown I guess and at least he's not behind me anymore. So we get into redneck town, population 10K related rednecks and about one mile into town I see a cop. Of course he spins around after he sees us, I automatically know that its got something to do with me. I had my radar detector on so I know he can't pull me over for nothing. We get into downtown of redneckville and he's behind me checking my plates, he then pulls along side at the redlight and rolls his window down. He says they received a call for wreckless driving and that I should take it easy, and I told him about the igor in the corolla. And said thanks and the cop drove off, he was completely cool but what kind of asshat calls the police for getting passed in a passing zone, on top of that I never went above 70 in the process, the speed limit being 55... Jealous hater or just dumb hick, we may never know. The End /vent

Cliffnotes: Passed dumb igor lookalike redneck and he got pissed off and called the cops, cops told me to take it easy.

This ever happen to anyone else? The BS never seems to let up when it comes to owning this car in my area.

stick to the cities where you can hide in traffic. i speed more in traffic than on a deserted road where it's easy to get tagged.

Some ppl just get all rage up when they get passed. It seem like he was the reckless driver, trying to speed up when you were passing him/her. You shoulda drop into 2nd gear, you'll be long gone. I've had ppl swirve into the other lane to try to stop me, but no cop calling thou.

i understand the rage all to well. both my cars are supercharged. if i go wot off a stoplight it pisses everybody off and 'cause i smoke the piss out of 90% of the people on the road i look like a dick. it took a while to break out of the wot habit. usually i would stomp on it until the speed limit plus five but then everybody else catches up a minute later and passes me ('cause they all accelerate real slow and then end up going 10-15 over). if i don't mash the throttle some dick in a truck has to floor it and smoke me (increasing his redneck ego).

i once heard from a friend that somebody was bragging that he beat me (older civic with an INTAKE), they said "you know he's supercharged." the civic owner responded, "really?" thinking his powerful intake beat a FI car. annoying when people always think i'm racing but i'm actually only slow shifting at 4k.

this just popped in my head, driving home on the state highway and passing the same cars three or four times, on CRUISE-CONTROL. of course i'm doing the plus five, these others are varying their speed plus ten and then minus ten. people in my area are so insecure about somebody else passing them, like i'm challenging their manhood or something...

Meh...I think we need to hear OK's definition of speeding. Interstates in Miami or Atlanta may have 65mph speed limits, but if you aren't going at least 80mph your going to get run over.
