Default beautiful E46 M3 vs. S2000 on a curvy interstate....

Last night I was heading over to south beach with a friend with the top up(coldest night of the year in miami at 50 degrees) driving at my usual pace. Nothing obscene, but enough to get through traffic and away from the crazy south florida drivers. I'm on the final stretch of US-1 before it turns into interstate going like 70 when I notice a car weaving through traffic much more aggressively than I....this guy REALLY wanted to pass the s2000 and once he caught up he FLIES by me and gets into my lane. His M3 is black and it is very nice, and my friend chimes in with his usual "you got tried" and I replied with "i'm probably gonna get killed if I try anyways." So as we approach the interstate I accelerate to move in closer behind him and he quickly switches over to the right lane, but gets stuck behind a car and tailgates this guy like i've never seen. I'm passing him on the left and I jockey into position with no more traffic in front, only a highway that actually has some pretty decent curves for a solid 2 miles. I know exactly what's going to happen here, the M3 can not stand that he is again trailing behind the little S and the male ego match is about to commense. When I see him coming I very quickly get into 3rd gear VTEC at exactly 70mph and I slam the gas.....there is no way i'm letting this guy pass me without at least making it difficult for him. It was me, him, and enough open road to max both of our cars out, we were now engaged in a battle for first and it was bigger than both of us. He started out roughly 2 full cars behind me, but no doubt got on the gas a split second before me. I'm coming up on my 4th gear shift, and I slam it as quickly as humanly possible(not that 3rd to 4th is exactly difficult lol). This guy has made his move to the other lane, but to my surprise(and probably his) he has gained almost nothing by the time we are getting to the first curve. The highway is empty, so I take a decent line into the curve and apex it going around 105mph. I have now actually put another 3 or 4 cars on this guy throughout the curve, and for him to pass me now is practically impossible. He's hanging around and we're on another straight that goes for about 400 yards. I manage to hit 125 before the next curve which is definitely a harder curve than the previous. I brake it to about 95 and just hold in my lane without apexing and I feel the car approaching its limit rather quickly, so I ever so slightly change my line to the outside and end up in the right most lane, damn that took a lot of concentration! Time to check the rear view........and guess who gave up on trying to pass the little S. The position was now mine, he gets to look at my tail lights for the duration of his journey. I slow down to give him a better view, and he slows down even more to put more distance between us. I love it when they do this! It was a VERY fun run, with no traffic and good curves, the kind of situation that really favors a capable s2000 driver. Moral of the story: if you want to actually pass a well-driven s2000 on a curvy interstate it is NOT gonna be easy. This was one of those runs that keeps a smile on your face for the rest of the night, and gets your blood flowing real quick.

*note: this was in no way an even race, and I in no way think the s2000 is faster or handles better at speed than an E46. So before people start getting their panties in a knot, it was simply an egotistical game of passing and I did start in the lead position.....and driver obviously has more to do with this kind of run.

I wouldn't have tried to pass in that situation. Too much chance of bent cars and people. If he tries to pass on the outside and you drift wide, like I believe you indicate, that could have been interesting.
