I pulled up to a red light the other day when a woman in her 40s (?) pulls up next to me in an M3 and starts to rev. I kind of knew I would get blown away, but I had never raced the S before, so I decided to go ahead. I was in 3rd gear at about 75mph and she was maybe 4 car lengths in front of me, so I decided to slow down. Maybe I shouldn't have done it just to not make the S look bad

 

I got SM KED by one once. Probably avoid another one if it ever has a chance to happen again. Unle ss I go T RBO !!!

I put a hurting on an e46 m3 convertible about a week ago. I know that they are slower then the coupe, but that is the only e46 m3 encounter I've had so far. 3 of my friends drive SMG M3's and neither one of them will run me.

get some gears and the outcome will be defferent.

 

i have to say that its OK. the e46 M3 is faster than the S. They pay more and its ok. My brother has 1 and i know its faster just by driving it. I can't say that it is faster at a road course but in a straight line; SURE it will beat on the S.

 

I don't think gears would be enough.
