[QUOTE=Wisconsin S2k,Feb 17 2006, 02:06 PM] Even with gears, I can't beat a properly driven M3.

the answer is yes - since most FI S2000s (on stock boost) have about 300whp, then i'd say the s2000 would atleast 'edge out' the E46. the E46 M3 weighs a good amount more than the s2000 and its pushing less than 300whp, so with equal drivers the S should pull.

E46 M3 is a low 13 sec car 13.0-13.3 at 106-108 mph trap stock. Although I've seen 12's @ 111 with a few n/a bolt ons, gears. SMG or 6MT.

And stronger at higher speeds. 3 / 100 - 4 / 100-140 +... they also rev 8k so S54 has a strong top end too.

An s/c S2000 with 300 + whp, should pull no doubt... Don't know how bad though.

A fair race would be a base S/C Comptech w/o Aftercooler, and stock pulley. That's about 285 rwhp, same as an E46 M3 will put down stock.

I did a search on Turbo Kits Lovefab to be more specific. Looks like several people are running that kit w/o complications, @ 6-8 psi, they're making 310-330 rwhp, no problems at low boost. I'll be picking up an AP2 soon. Definitely not gonna go the S/C route.

Nice info. All thought I like F.I., just something about the sound of raw engine just put a smile on my face. What do you guys think, if a S2000 with say 250rwhp and 190lbs of torque will do again a E46 with bolts on?

I don't think that will be enough. You might be able to make a driver's race against a bone stock E46.
