Default Brief encounter with an Audi S8

While pulling up to the next light I see a big Audi sedan. An S8. An old dude. He looks over, I see him, was tempted to say nice car, but decided not to give him the satisfaction, plus his window was up.

I was going to see how he would launch as I didn't want to drop the clutch at 6.5K. As the light turns green you can hear the Quattro grip with a little chirp and off he goes. Pulls ahead by 3-4 car lengths as I do my normal traffic start, but rev it up to redline each gear. We go thru some moderate turns and he holds the original 3-4 car lead (I did not go full throttle on the slight turns as it was dark and the roads were cool... I'm sure he was... Quattro!). He shut it down at about 100mph.

I'd just like to apologize to the community here for providing a less-than-stellar performance. Had he shown any signs he wanted to race I would've popped it.

Those things are pretty fast, though. I'd love to get up on one on the highway.
