I had been working on some boost leaks, cutting some new pieces and tightening T bolts for a few hours. When i had finished, i had to take it for a drive to make sure i had no issues...

I am on 287 coming back from my drive, doing the speed limit when i see this dark blue C6 vert, with the top up come up slowly by me. I had the top down and was messing around with my boost controller. The road ahead was clear, him in the middle lane, me on the right lane. I look over and smile at him, as he is going by, and quickly accelerate up to his speed. He still didnt look interested, so i downshifted to 4th gear. At that exact moment, he floors it and just goes... no honk no lining up etc... He already has maybe 2-3 cars on me when i floored it, and it took all of 4th a bit of 5th to catch up and go past him. As I am going by him, at about the 7K in 5th gear, he slams the brakes on, and afterwards i do the same...

I then rev the motor a little and hear this horrible exhaust noise and my turbo takes a while to hit. I later find a bolt had come off my manifold, and exhaust was coming out of the hole... That was the end of a quick little run, but im sure he didnt think my car would catch up on his pull

 

good run. I have had that problem before, or it would throw a p1259 or pop a charge pipe.

 

yeah, it sucks... I'm sure i would have gone by him faster if my car was runnng 100%, but there are always those little things that come up...

Guess i gotta pull the whole thing apart again and do the wire thing on the bolts...
