Can't find an S2000 to kill anywhere!
Here I am crusing along in my Boxster S looking for a Honda S2000 to kill, can't find one. I try San Francisco, Tokyo, New York, London, nothing, nada zip zilch. I climb in the Ferrari 360 and go hunting and again, can't find a S2000 to kill. Heck I can't even find one to drive! Oh well, time to hop back in the new Beetle and get it up on two wheels for some more Kudos points!
In case you are wondering what the (*@#$# I am talking about, I am playing Gotham Racing on the X-Box, which for some reason doesn't include the Honda S2000. Which is too bad because the graphics rock and I can even drive the Porsche with the top down!
Wooo Hooo! Most fun I've had on the street all week!
I think the X-box is due out next week for anyone who is interested.
It's kind of fun watching my drivers head move around and arms move to turn the wheel and shift the gears, I am the puppet master!
How does it compare to GT3 on PS2? It's different is all I can say, some things I like better than GT3 others I don't, it is a different style game, certainly a lot of fun if you like the style it promotes. Any time I get extra points for getting the car up on 2 wheels or making a massive power slide around a tight bend is cool by me!
Just a shame that the S2000 is left out, although there are some "secret" cars I haven't unlocked yet, so maybe it is one of those. Anyone have a complete list???

It's part of my job to review hardware and this week I am reviewing the X-Box. So far I like it, as with any game system there are good and bad points, but it is certainly worthy of consideration if you are thinking of buying a new or another gaming system. I love the fact that I can rip tracks off my own CD's and use them as background music in the game. I was driving courses to Red Barchetta by Rush and killing bad guys to Ozzy last night. In short, X-box Rox!

I think the graphics are better, but the gameplay is different, it isn't so much about adding parts to cars to make them go faster and attempting to simulate real driving conditions. Although the simulation does seem to be pretty good, it is more about scoring "Kudos" points by driving in a "creative" fashion. There are some things you have to do, like drive through certain sets of cones, but other times I find myself on the handbrake really pulling the back end around in turns to get some extra "Kudos" points. Of course hitting walls and knocking over cones will take away points. It is kind of hard to explain without actually driving the game. I suspect some GT3 purists will hate it because it isn't just like GT3, but I think others will like it because it is a different style of racing game. So far I like it (and I like GT3 too), but I haven't gotten that deeply into it. I've been playing Halo a lot more. Halo is one game that makes the X-box worth buying in my opinion.
