Default Celica GTS

did any of you guys race a blue Celica GTS recently in the San Diego area? My friend pulled about 3 cars till 120 when he stopped, it was a cool race.. sorry, I dont have to many details since I was the passenger and wasnt paying attention at what speeds they started and what not.. he has a S/C and is making about 225hp to the wheels.

THe S2000 was silver and sounded like it at least had an exhaust.

What? I don't know any San Diego owners, but you must have been racing the infamous "auto" S2K.

ya makes sense cuz there is no way a 2500lb car with close to 230whp could lose to a S2000?

I cant tell if you are being sarcastic or not.. but the celica is a great handling car, not as good as a S2000 or RX8, but still good for a front wheel drive car.

I apologize if you were just joking around

this thread is already starting to go downhill....sounds like it shouldve been a closer race to me, but I've never raced a s/c celica.

I'm not trying to cause any arguments here, i hate those kind of posts.

anyways, I dont think 3 cars is that big of a deal.. I dont have anything to base that on though, other than the fact that the celica should have had more hp and weighs quite a bit less.

we need more details.

was the S2000's top down? did it have a passenger? how many people in the celica? how fast to SC'd celicas tend to run?

IMO, I think it would have been closer had the S2k had a bit better driver, particularly because celicas aren't as strong on the top end. but, the race is easily plausible.

No we don't, the Toy won, end of story. Not suprising if the S only had an I/E/H. You're talking around the same power and the weight of the Celica puts it ahead. Good run to the Toy owner.
