14.4 seems right for a SC Celica GTS with stock boost cuz stock they run around mid to low 15 seconds, am I correct? Correct me if I'm wrong, just thinking from the top of my head. Btw, with 230whp and being lighter than our S it should be a heck of alot faster in the 1/4 mile but that'll depend on alot of things as well. Bro inlaw has a stock 00 Celica GTS and thought it was a 350z killer, raced a Z on the hwy to find out that his doors just got blown off. Didn't know what he was thinking about, heard the story and I'd never laughed so hard in my life...

Car problems plus some not so good driver equals a 14.4. I believe he let a buddy of his drive it in the 1/8th and got some pretty good numbers, I dont know exactly what tehy are off the top of my head though.
and there have been a few guys to hit 14s stock, but the norm is low 15s.

i previously owned a 00 toyota celica gts, and now own a 02 s2000, so im pretty impartial. My first time out to the track with my celica, i ran a 14.8 w/ a 2.38 60'. I had a hard time launching w/ heavy 17" wheels, and still managed to run a 14.8 w/ intake and exhaust. The celica is surprisingly quick. To be honest, i've never heard of a supercharger for the gts. But a turbo celica is capable of mid 13s at best. However, there is documentation of a celica gts running 13.7 w/ intake, exhaust, weight reduction, and drag radials. The celica gts is an extremely difficult car to drive well as its difficult to stay in lift (vtec) on the 1-2, and even 2-3 shift for some. I dont doubt his story of pulling a couple car lengths, especially if the s2000 driver was just average. And as far as the celicas handling, w/ the 1.4" drop, kyb agx shocks, and tires i had on mine, I would have put it up against any front wheel drive car.

I had an 02 Celica GT-S before the S. I was able to lay down a 14.3 1/4 with just an intake, removed exhaust, gutted, and TRD JDM clutch. The celica has a horrible transmission(in comparison to the S) that takes a ton of practice to excell at.
The race sounds believable if the celica was running correctly. I did race a blitz supercharged celica and he was only running a 14 flat....not that impressive for 5-7k.

I use to own a 00 celica gts with i/h/e ran a 13.9 if you want the info click http://monkeywrenchracing.com/1-4mil...1-4milegts.htm im number 8. This was almost 2yrs ago. Now I own MY00 s2k with almost the same set up and the S2k def pulls harder esp up top . I dont doubt the celica for a second if it was supercharged with a good driver.

the S/C is made by BLITZ. It cost around 7k though so not many people have it.. well he paid that much, I think the privce may have dropped some by now.
