Default Civic si 2012 vs s2000?

Has anyone ran the new 2012 civic si? My friend has one and is sure he will beat me. He said he will put walmarts between us Im a modest driver and hes a modest driver too. We were going to run it last night but right when we were going to a cop popped out of no where haha.

Im a MY02 has 80k miles with just a 70mm tp and greedy se exhaust.

hes in a 2012 civic stock, with 15k miles.

my02's
f20c 2.0 liter 9k redline

240hp crank
195ish wheel hp

150tq crank
135ish wheel tq

2864LBS

Civic si 2012
k24z7 2.4 liter 7k redline

200hp crank?
175ish wheel hp?

170tq crank?
160tq wheel?

2863 LBS

Im not too sure about the real hp on the newer civics. The numbers for the civic are the ones that are online.

s2000 2002
0-60 is 5.5
1/4 mile is around 14.3 give or take

Civic si 20012
0-60 is 6.4
1/4 mile is 14.9

The newer civics have a geat deal more tq but if you look at the dyno runs it runs low to 125tq to the wheels at red line (7k). I raced FA5'S the 09 civic si's and put about 5 cars on them from 40ish to 90mph. They weight nearly identical, but the s is rear wheel drive so it will yield a better launch and put down the power better. Not to say i have 245's in the rear mehehe.. So am I crazy when i say they have no chance to beat a s2000 stock for stock?

Dude drives a Civc and thinks he will win a drag race? WTF who's dumber, the Civic driver or the guy who buys his story?

Your friend is an idiot, and you get dumber every time you believe his ridiculous BS.

the new engine for the civic is the k24 and they are reasonably fast from a roll with all the tq they have. its not to say that they are slow. there pretty decent. And its not all bs, with a intake the newer civics yeild a 14WHP ending up with around 190 wheel and 180WTQ which is a lot... but thats a different question with mods.

If you are a good driver AND your S2 is running PAR you have a very good chance of winning. I ran a Mugen civic 3 times and had no problems putting stadiums between us.

Don't all Civics think they are fast?
