from a stop, you should beat one if u can launch

from a roll, you shold still win but it will be close

 

You should walk if your in the right gear the right RPM from a roll, but if your not, they will win. Pretty fast for an automatic, don't let them catch you off guard.

 

I had a 01 CL Type S w/Navigation before i traded it in for my S. the car is definitely more luxurious but hmm, its hard to tell which one is actually faster, the Type S sure feels real quick because it has more torque. But i can assure you that the S has definitely a higher top end. The Type S is pretty quick from 80--->120 then around 120 something it just turns into a snail.
the handling is also pretty good for the S.

 

with the CL-S 6 speed around the corner... I will bet you there's going to be a lot of CL-S beating S2K stories coming up... CL-S was already a close match, with the new manual box and being easier to launch......

 

 

Yes, they will be available this coming March, one of our member from Acura-cl.com will be getting his 6spd CL-S with HLSD this coming 2 weeks. So we can't wait for his write about the new 6spd cl-s.. BTW cool forum and I like s2000 to cool car for a roadster...

 

How much will they be?

 

the last two gears in the TYPE S make it damn slow at the top end. It is also very heavy so slow from a take-ff. So basically, the car should be not much competition as long as it is stock and the driver of the s2k is average or better.

The best they run is 14.7-15.0, and as I said earlier, they are really slow past 100 mph...
