Don't forget he raced a modded Evo. Be it in 2nd or 3rd, he would've lost anyway. But IMO, being in 2nd is more competitive for me. Learning to control your car is priority, then learning to shift into right gears is next.

I would have been in third as well, but I would have been going 60-65 .

I did the same thing to a 03 cobra last year, so it's not necessarily the car's power at fault. The cobra tried to follow me on to a gradual 90 degree entrance ramp but I took a perfect line hitting vtec right at the apex and the cobra was left for dead.
