Default evo vs s2k this past weekend

I have a stock s2k. This past weekend while driving, i encountered an evo. I was probably going around 40 when we saw eachother. I started just driving a lil faster when i heard him downshift. Right when i heard that i gunned it and i kept the lead i had and probably a car length more until i got to 100. He kept on going. A lil later. there was a light and i was behind him. When the light turned green, i passed the car to my right to get next to him. He gunned it before me, he was up like a car length but it stayed like that till about 80. Then i saw myself creping up on him but nothing much. It seemed we were dead even. I was probably half a car length behind since he had a start. He semi waited for me to pass the car but he was ahead when we started. After everything, it seemed like we were dead even when the cars went at it.. Im not sure how it would be if we truly did a stop and go drag but just wanted to post to see what others thought..? Thanks..

In the end, i would call it pretty much dead even. I dont think in the end i beat it the first time cause we werent really werent set up. I wish we could have been lined up from the start.. But i always thought the evo would be faster.. I know the sti would pretty much smoke the s from a stop.. I thought the evo would do the same but the s2k came through.

People like Yao Ming crack me up, if you do not like street racing then I guess the forum called "STREET ENCOUNTERS" would probably be the wrong forum for you. Lecturing us and trying to sound like our parents will accomplish nothing. Of course you are welcome to post anywhere, you are going to catch heat for posting like this.

I've registered my car as a s2k owner. I put up a form like 3 months ago advising anyone from the dade/broward area to get together and head to moroso in west palm.

Yeah, nice race. The Evo would have all the advantages from a dead stop with AWD, and and higher torque figure, etc but from a roll it loses many of it's advantages.
