Hey guys whats up? Well been getting quite a few races lately, since the weather is getting better. Anyways first race was against a friend of ours with a new Mach 1. The car is pretty quick so we wanted to see what the outcome would be. We line up and get ready and just before the flagger drops his hands I take a quick look at my tach and when I do he drops his hands and I was oh $hit, I figured man im done. I slip the clutch a bit and pull ahead and got a good shift to 2nd and pull maybe another car. I would say I was 1-1.5 cars up and it stayed that way through mid 4th (which is usually all we run to) So im thinking should I turn on the hazards, I was like nah, its just a friendly race so I get ready to let off and he passes me and turns on his hazards and claims the win, lol I was like wtf? I didnt want to try to come up with any excuses or anything, I dont do that. But I think im gonna run him again soon (maybe tonight) and if I get a good launch its over, I will turn on the hazards this time.

Ok, now the Sti. We had been BSing with the guy, hes pretty cool weve talked before. Anyways after I ran the Mach everyone wants to see teh Evo and Sti run, so I go to get my car and the passenger starts telling my wife "hey is that your boyfriend and she goes no its my husband, so hes like well, no offence but my buddy can drive. Hes gonna kill the Evo off the line, im not saying the St iwill win, but hes a good driver" Lol, I guess he figured I could'nt drive since I didnt get a good launch against the Mach. Anyways I pull up and we get ready, the guy drops his hands and I got maybe 1.5-2 cars on him off the line (so much for being a good driver huh?) I got clean shifts all teh way through and had him by maybe 3 cars, I could see him in the rearview mirror and I was still pulling when I let off. Anyways he pulls up and says "man you killed me off the line" LOL, I said yeah not bad for bald tires BTW he has new tires on his All in all it was a good night, I need to run the Mach again, and im sure he'll want to.

Oh, also there was a WRX there that thought they were god, lol they drove like 1 hr to meet up with us, All I heard was "man theres this fast WRX coming" Well him and the Mach were the first race and the Mach killed him, so they were all pissed off talking shit about everyone. Hehe I guess he better go get some more mods

Yeah I agree with Gleason...you should bring the camera out one of these night's and get your races on tape...You are always running into other nice/fast cars, (and best of all) beating them!!

 

How about next time bring the S out as well, have your wife race it against them Wrx and show them what's up . I wanna hear more about your S too...

 

Lol, well I got my rematch tonight, still didnt get a great launch, but managed to beat the Mach this time no question about it. That car pulls pretty good up top and he is gonna be running drag radials soon, but soon I'll have my reflash so it might not matter


We actually ran an older Vette tonight too, his plate was "FAST ZR2" and he was running the drag radials and both me an the Mach beat him 2 times each. I know they had a camera, I hope they post the vid somewhere

 

what do you have done? mach 1s run mid 13s stock. and an evo will do the same. He obviously couldn't drive cause he should have murdered you off the line. Good kills nontheless

was the STI stock? I haven't gone up against an STI in awhile now since I was stock and I'm impressed that you got 3 car lengths ahead...although an excellent launch definitely helped!

I have the turbo back with no cat and the Intake with upper IC piping. How's he gonna murder me off the line when that's my advantage . He's only on street tires. Everytime off the line I would get him by at least a car and a half. Towards the end of the 1/4 he would start to catch up...by then the race is over.

As for the STi, he had an exhaust intake and BOV (that adds 15 hp there!!). I guess I'm just a better driver then he is.

We raced an older vette that was on drag radials and we still out-launched him. So even with drag radials, youre gonna need a very good launch.
