I understand, but 6 speeds usually rule autos of similar rwhp levels from a roll. Yet, another reason why 6 speeds costs more than a similar decked out auto Man, all this Supra talk is making me miss my ol' 98 six speed.

nalVle ...I didnt say he was heavily modded, I was just thinking to myself by looking at the car "it looked" heavily modded. Believe me I know all about heavily modded Supras. There is a guy here locally making like 800 rwhp and his brother and dad both own Supras too his brothers makes like 600.

Anyways Im not trying to brag about it. I honestly though he would kill me thats why I would like to talk to him and find out his mods, maybe he only has the fmic and exhaust who knows?

Yeah I love the RR's im hoping to get one this week if I can swing it...But I'll have to break our color scheme up If I got the R6 I could get the Yellow/Black but since I want the RR it will be Orange/Black

 

Nice runs. Auto trannies are quick for the quarter. They are easier to launch and with their hella fast shifts (which keep most boost between gears) they are impossible to pass until around 120ish. From a roll, anyone

Interesting, don't get me wrong I love the EVO, but I honestly would have thought he should pull on you. It doesn't take much for those cars to make 380-400WHP and 5 gear (on the 5 speeds) in an EVO isn't strong at all. Anything can happend on the streets I guess (like stock S2000s beating bolt on EVOs LOL).

Also people forget that these cars Supras, 300ZX, RX-7s, and 3000GTs are sometimes very old cars and when you are talking about a sometimes 13 or 12 year old car with 80,000 to 100,000 miles on it, it may not always be in the best condition. I had a nicely modified 1994 VR4 at one point, and keeping the car running properly at all times was a bitch. I remember at one point I knew something was wrong with the car, it felt down on power and I couldn't pin point the problem. I raced a modified Integra GSR, and barely pulled on it. My car was in need of service.

 

Doesn't the new R6 rev to 17,500 rpm? As much as I like Honda bikes......17500 is crazy! Get a bike and keep the EVO! BTW, I know someone who's selling a Busa.......

 

What was the point of posting that vid? To show Supras are nasty when highly modded? Great? We all know that!

I could post a video of a 2nd Gen Eclipse running a high 6. Cool eh? But theres no point in posting either.

BSmonitor: thats why you buy the MR edition my 5th gear is much nicer.

If you want to drag buy a 5speed. If you like running on the highway or doing courses, buy the MR

 

i think he posted it in response to the people saying "almost all high-powered supras are auto".

are u talking about brent rau's white eclipse that ran a 6.97@198 in the 2005 NDRA Finals? i have a compilation video of the highlights of that competition, i think i got it off the evo boards.
