Question EVO's vs S2000's on a roll

Still looking at EVO's as a potential weekend car later this year. Been watching a lot of vids and theres always a debate that pops up on EVO vs s2000 on rolls..........I had my experiance in my SC S2k 286rwhp and it was a drivers race tied from 55-102. Several tries vs an EVO 9 with just exhaust. Every s2k I raced from a roll was car lengths behind for comparison. Both are sweet cars.

I finally came across some vids all of EVO 8s not the 9s, one s2k has gears to.

Only vid of NA s2k winning on the site vs the EVO and good race

Need to see how more modded s2ks do but looks like the EVO is fast even from a roll.

The second race, the s2000 seemed to be way out of vtec.. If that was the case then that is why the outcome was how it was... And the 3rd race.. the s2000 has a downpipe?

The S2000 is just not a drag racing machine.

i take out c6's from 80 rolls with bolt on's and very mild cams. evo's aren't slow from rolls.

The Evo is still quick from a roll, I don't think anyone has ever doubted that...It's just that I think alot of people just assume because they run 13.3 or whatever stock, that it will automatically run away from a car, in this case that runs a 13.8, (for obvious reasons)...Which from a roll however, is not the case. That Evo running 13.3@101 will lose to an s2000 running 13.8@101 from a roll, due to the fact that the 1.6 or 1.7 60ft he just pulled helped get him up to 101 mph (or whatever) faster then that 2.0 60ft that s2000 pulled. Showing that the s2000's mid-range/top-end pull was greater, because he still managed to get to the line (although with a slower E.T.) still going 101 mph. So if you were to compair the last half of the track #'s, you would probaly see the s2000 was quicker/gaining through there. But also the fact that you have so many combinations of thing's that can happen through out a race, 1 is not the end to all. If the guy driving the S2000 is a slow shifter, he won't make up anything, and probaly just get walked the whole race. And same goes for if you get a guy in the Evo who can't launch..Then you get a good driver in the S, and he beats the Evo off the line and people are sitting there like

However once you start modding those turbocharged car's (especially compairing them to an N/A car) they excel much better.
