One thing that throws a wrench in it is that in top gear the 4.77 car will have a slightly higher top speed because it is putting more power to the ground when both cars are in 6th. So basically once the stock car hits 6th, the 4.77 car will start pulling. But who races that high with only 240 hp?
That is not true. 4.77's will have a lower top speed. 142 or something like that. Easy to get there though. I was able to get to the rev limiter pretty easily when I had 4.77's.

It always angers me when someone in an evo or f body lose to a normally aspirated s2k. How lame do you have to be to sit on so much potential?

If the top speed is gear-limited, sure. I didn't know if it would be or not. Most cars are drag-limited, so they can't redline in top gear.

as far as i know.. (not from my own conclusion, but from what ive seen on here)

the ap1 is geared to top out at like 162 but only gets to 155 or 159 something like that..

and the ap2 is geared to go to 157 and will redline at 157.. meaning it can actually get to it..

im not sure how true that is.. but ive definitely gotten to 146 in my ap2 with no problems with the stock rear end..

ap1 w stock redline is geared out @172-173, drag limited to 154-155, dunno about ap2s as I have an ap1, but pretty sure they are drag limited, too, and I think gear limited to around 163 or so
