Ferrari Encounter
Notice, not a kill, or even a race, just an encounter.
So I was making a u-turn under an underpass, and saw the cars that were about to turn left behind me had a green light. With the temperature being 40 or so, giving a noticable boost in VTEC (butt dyno speaking) and the access road nice and straight and clear, I decided to do some VTECing, but only through 2nd gear. So I started cruising at 60 mph, and I looked back. I had noticed the front car that was about to turn had looked like a vette or some car with really nice lines, but I wasn't sure what it was. Well, there was no car in my rear-view mirror, so I looked forward and thought "Hrm, must have gone straight".
At exactly that time, a 360 Modena hurtled past me, running out whatever gear he was in ( probably first...heh), exhaust sounding like a beautifully tuned race car....
I almost wet my pants.
But then he slowed down and wanted to play a little bit, but when I thought he was going straight, he turned (Dammit, I don't care if you have a $150,000 car, you still have to use your damned turn signal!!!!), so that was the end of that.
I was highly impressed that he actually wanted to play, seeing as how people owning high-performance cars half the price won't ever try to race.
There was also a real ricey civic turning his direction too. One with a 3 inch tip, and a body kit that was painted a shade of green three shades lighter than the car itself. That would have been fun. Being able to say I burnt a ricey civic, and then got my ass handed to me on a silver platter by a ferrari.
Yeah, its not the most expensive Ferrari, but it a Ferrari none the less, and one I would be proud to say, I raced and got beat....
