finally found a 350z with the older VQ engine that wanted to play, I wanted him bad so i tailed him pretty hard, he took off a little so i knew he wanted to play, we lined up on an access road with no other cars in the area, he had a passenger and i was alone with some stuff in the trunk. I was in 3rd gear right under vtec unfortunately, and then he took off so i stepped on it too, he jumped ahead about half a car, and by the end of 4th I had reeled him in, passed him and was pulling on him. Felt good.

Afterwards we caught a light and i talked to him he told me 'very nice!' i said same to him, he asked what year and i told him 03, he said he had the same, said he was stock except for his smoked tails, all around cool guy

 

thats strange. i have a 04 350 with exhast, intake, High flow cats, and wheels, and plenum spacer. those were my only performance mods, and the z's dont work well with mods. at msot that woudl be about 10-15 hp. and i pulled on my friends 08 s2k by 3 cars.

but then again i pulled a car on him when i got my header, test pipe, and exhast on my s2k. but good run anyways.

I pulled a stock Z when my car was stock way back when

 

Stock S's vs stock DE Z's have always been fun. I just wish Honda kept on adding to the F20/F22C's like Nissan did with the Z's. They went from 287chp back in 2004, now to 332 with the 370Z's. Imagine how much quicker we'd be with 35-40 more WHP!

 

But our engine is way more impressive in terms of what Honda accomplished. It is hard to squeeze power out of our engines without stroking or going forced induction. But hey they should of at least stroked it.
