Default First Evo kill...

So earlier tonight I was driving on the 91-E, about to transition to the 57-N. For those of you who aren't local, it's a giant, curved 1/4 mile+ two-lane ramp, which extends a hundred feet above the freeway. It's marked as a 40 MPH ramp, but you can take it 55 and be comfortable.

As I start coming up on the ramp, I notice the Evo speeding along next to me. I drop down into 4th gear to see if he'll play, and he downshifts too. We're holding at about 75mph when we take the ramp side-by-side. Though more a pure act of balls than anything else, I have him on my back bumper at 85mph by the time the ramp straightens out. I punch it and hold the same lead up to 110, where I shut it down.

Might not have been a drag race, but I'm sure he was a little surprised by the result.

I love it. Nice job.

Stock Evo chassis/suspension has a lot of body roll which scares inexpirienced drivers.

this is probably more about who have the ball to going at it. last month, a young lady fatality crashed there with her baby in the back seat so take it easy on that ram.

+1...whenever someone tries to instigate a race involving anything but a straight line on public road i always slow down....i dont want to do something i'd regret.

going in a straightline is still dangerous to some degree, but much less dangerous than risking spinning out going crazy fast on curved on-ramps...

good kill anyways though

i love the way the s2000 corners 500 millions times more than the way my Evo does.

I'm really sorry to hear that... I wouldn't have pushed it with any other cars (besides the evo) around. I just don't get how someone died there... you can drive 15+ over the posted limit before it starts to get hairy.

All of the 57-91 and 91-57 ramps are WAY off on the posted limits. I suppose its for safety, but its god awful in traffic when people actually slow to 40 for them.

sometimes bad luck is taking toll. oil, sand, water can be present on the blind side when you're taking that fast curve and there you go. it was actually happened more than twice for some of my friends and the result is cars totaled but it can be worse.

good luck and good kill.
