first post on this forum, but had to share to get other opinions on how strong srt 4 neons run.... i bought my S2000 in dec, brought it to work other day to do some mods, and put away again till spring - carbon fiber hood, 18 volks te37ti, spoon air duct and filter , rsr exhaust and comtech test pipe. anyways, on my way home onrt 79 i see a silver srt4 neon in my rear view coming on me fast, he pulls next to me and wants 2 run we slow down to 10 mph 3 beeps and he gets the jump on me but by the time i hit 3rd i have a car length on him, we let off by the time i hit 5th gear but i only won by three car lengths top.... is that what i should expect from my car...i am used to winnig alot of races - i had a 99 trans am before my S2000, but like my S sooo much more. any tips on what cars not to mess with, in stock form.

If you removed your 18 inch tires and put on your stockers you would have done better . The larger rims alone probably negated all of your other mods . I am sure they look great,but they aren't going to help you beat anything in a straight line.
