Default flash light drags

Was back in my home town this past weekend and they just started hosting flash light drags at the local airport (1/8 mile)
My long time buddy has a 5.7l gto with afermarket duel catback, no cats, intake and reflash, rwhp was at 340 and torque was the about the same.
we ran three times and i got him 2 out of 3 ...
1st we launched, i launched at about 6200rpm and pulled on him buy a full 2 cars and beat him by a car and a half at the end.
2nd same launch rpm, he launched much harder this time and i only had him by a half a car at the begining then took him at the end by one car.
3rd race he dropped the tire pressure in his tires (i didn't ) we launched perfectly even and stayed even until about the last 150 ft, he got me by a fender at the end. great races jeremy
last race was with the a stage 2 supercharged tc, with an exhaust and intake. (all trd)
took him off the line hard continued to pull hard until the end, not sure by how many cars (he was too far back )
both great drivers, thought i'd share this with you guys, chalk one up for the s again
later,
Bobby

p.s. i think i would have took him if i would have dropped the tire pressure as well.
o well next time....

i drove a new 06 6.0 that is on my lot. it feels like it wants to go with the torque but its just to damn heavy. just open and close the door on that thing. talk about a pig...

From the sounds of it, he has good launching skills to beat the GTO Sounds about right for the 1/8 mile and your mods. I would imagine that the GTO would have pulled you in the 1/4 though. Ask me how I know?

Wellllll, since you asked I've raced a few GTO/Z28's and it is always close till about the end of 3rd gear. From there they begin to pull and don't stop. Of course this is with me having I/E testpipe. I am sure those lucky individuals such as yourself who have gears would give a better showing. ahhhh...gears, if only I wasn't stationed in Germany. People's average speed on the autobahn is far too high for gears.
