Default G35 Kill

Well my brother drives a G35. I just got a used S2k on Saturday. He kept on bitching at me that he wanted to go at it. We find the perfect spot that has no street crosses. I reved the car up to 5000 RPM and launched. My car is completely stock! I couldnt catch traction went to the side a little. Well I shifted to second and pulled on him. Then when I hit that 3rd gear vtec The thing pulled like when I spank a stripper. I pulled on him by a car and a half. With a shitty launch!

Also killed a mini cooper with some works stage 2 kit.

You are a 0 day member w/ a brand new car. You might get flamed for this thread....racing the second day you have had the car. You can't possible know it's limits.

Don't mind him it's cool. I'm sure you've had plenty of experiance w/stick shift and powerful cars.

ouch gonna get some flames from that. The s2000 was not intended to drag, it does hold its own pretty respectably but a bunch of those 5k clutch drops and you out some cash when you blow the diff.

I wont do the 5RPM launches anymore I'll learn to drive the car. The car was made to do whatever I want to do. Its my hard earned money if I want to put 19 inch spinners on it I can do it because its my money. I wont do it of course

I got the car to have fun in. I mostly do alot of back road driving. I put about 500 miles on it in 2 days It was mostly my brothers influence since he wanted to race. You guys have a very nice forum too props on that.

Thanks for the advice on the diff. I dont want to buy a new one for sure. What should I launch the car at?

It's not really ment to be launched, it's not a drag car.

Invest in the group buy ricks has put togeather...its awesome...You get a comptec reinforced differential with ricks 457 gears all cryo treated and as close to bullet proof as you can get (when it comes to the diff itself....not indestructable by anymeans)...It's a worthwhile investment and you will walk a stock s2k by a good 6-7 cars with those gears alone...Congrats on your purchase

Good kill. Second day, and ur first race already. My second day I had a run too, but it was with a carrera 4S, and well I got spanked...lol.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky few, but I've done close to or over 300 6K clutch drops and have yet to have the diff break. Or maybe my time is coming. althoyugh I did experience some kind of wierd lock up once, butafter uit a day it was back to normal.

I have done several clutch drops on my MY02 and have yet to have any problems (knock on wood)...Buy as for racing as soon as you get the car...I had a total of 3 races my 1st day of ownership ...One was with a brand new c6 vette..(1st black one i've seen)...It walked me pretty good...That's about the only one worth mentioning..the other's I beat preatty badly (mustang gt 99 model-exhaust, and an integra type r)
