girl saving a spot
i went out with my gf yesterday night to hk plaza in rowland heights. anyway, i saw an open parking spot and prceeded to park. halfway in, some teenage chinese girl runs into the middle of my spot and stands there, preventing me from parking. i honk several times, roll down my windows and ask, "what the HELL ARE YOU DOING?" she replies that she was saving the spot!!! 
WHO THE HELL?? i honk several more times, drive toward her. SHE STOOD HER GROUND!! i was about to get out of the car but there was traffic and the voice inside of my head said it wasnt worth it....especially if i got the spot but eventually get keyed as a result. i backed up and found a closer spot. couldn't believe someone would do that. my gf told me that its common in taipei. still....it was a suprise

Good call dude. Let them have it. Who knows what they'll do to your car after you've parked it. I'm sure you could have gotten out of the car and pushed her out of the way while your gf parked it. You're right it's not worth it.

LOLZ, this is funny because my friends did that, hahah. they didn't just run infront of the car though, they saw a spot, nobody was going for it, so they just stood there, 3 of them, until my other fren drove his car and parked there. what the girl did was wrong though if you were already going for that spot.

dude i know the exact plaza you are talking about. I hate going there but sometimes I have to when I'm back home. I have no respect for people who are "saving" the spot. That's bullshit. No car ---> no save!
