Got arrested
Gotta a question for you guys..anybody ever get arrested for speeding? It happened to me last night. I live in Va. The State Trooper got us at 92mph. That's what he claimed, but when I looked down at the speedometer, I was going only about 86 at most.
Just trying to figure out what will happen to me in court. I have a few speeding tickets under my record. Thanks.

I'm definately getting a lawer for this. The trooper said I was doing 92, but I know I wasn't going that fast. He didn't mention anything about having a radar on me. At least I don't remember. We came off the exit ramp real fast and he saw us.
Where in VA was it? Do you have aftermarket rims or tires? Makes a huge difference in speedo vs. actual (obviously) but the courts will take that into consideration and if in fact there is a difference, you could walk away with a defective equipment fine. I got nailed once doing 91mph on I64 in Henrico on my way to work in Louisa...with Michigan tags. Gave me a reckless ticket. I had bigger tires on my truck that threw my speedo off. It said I was only doing about 84mph. Had my speedo calibrated and took it to court with me. The shop even had the results notarized. Took it with me to court in Richmond, got driving school for 2 days next to the Hooters on W. Broad
It was my one and only offense in VA, so that helped. But, I've heard of a lawyer there who is REALLY good and fairly cheap. His name was Chip Chocolate (might have been the southern draw but I'd swear that was his name, no joke) and he's somewhere in Hanover I believe. A lot of the Beaverdam boys used him quite often.
Good Luck!

I swear, that was his name. He used to get EVERYONE out of shit like this all the time. There are soooo many twisties out there that it's hard not to fly through them.
I miss living there.

This was on I-66 heading towards Vienna. The speed he said I was going is 92mph(for the third time). And no, my car is stock, no aftermarket rims or nothing.
Definitely get a GOOD lawyer
