I was reading, I think r&t, or c&d, that when dropped at 5k, the 0-60 time was like 11 seconds, pretty shocking, eh? So, you gotta drop above vtec, around 6-7k.

no, they were shifting below 5k for that article. it was BS anyway imo. i can accelerate better than below 5k RPMs even here at altitude.

I think it was more like 11 minutes, I mean the car is really slow unless you drive it like you "hate it". Even a schoolbus can beat you.

Actually, they shifted at redline, but dropped the clutch under VTEC as before stated.

Nope. I have to agree with Speedy this time. They started
off-idle and shifted at 5000 rpm. It was the most ridiculous
thing I _ever_ heard. I wonder what would have happened
to a Viper if they shifted it at 4000rpm under ITS redline.

lol, I think Vipers redline at 4k, so technically that would be shifting it at redlien, lol, jk.

Anyways, Motor Trend dropped the clutch at 5k, and shifted at 5k to get that 0-60 time of 11 seconds. They didn't even use VTEC!
