This happened like a week ago I went home to visit my parents and my Dad is an ol fashion gear head. he still has his first car from when he turned 16, and it just so happens it a 1970 chevelle SS 454. He has recently pulled the engine and replaced it with a blown 502ci putting down about 1300 rwhp. yeah its a monster. Well long story short as I come off the interstate and head through town and stop at the last light on the way home, I hear the god forsaked sound of a built v-8 rumble up beside me. I look over and who could it be yeah My dad! He was on his way back from the local drag strip. He looks over gives me this cheesy grin and revs up a few times. Like father like son I do the same when the light turned green and we hit it the fron of his damn car lifted about 3 feet off the ground and he proceded to make my car look like it was in reverse. He's such a damn kid

whats bs about a chevelle thats has 1300hp its done all the time. and yes its one of the most coveted cars. He has the original engine the basement all detailed and nice. He has no intentions of selling it so he wanted to build a monster in which he succeded. When I go home I will list all mods and some pics if you dont believe then its your own stupidity, and frankly I dont care if you think its bs I know the car you dont

My younger brother is building a pretty stout big block chevy, 572", 14.6:1 compression, huge this, huge that...

Car should put down 800 rwhp on motor and over a 1000 rwhp on a 250 shot of n2o packed in a 3000 lb car. Heck, he put together a mild big block chevy, 468", street tires, nothing special...runs mid 10's@130+ mph...which only put down...440 rwhp/530 rwtq...

Already around here the haters are dogging it...these are the reasons it is weak(mind you these reasons are coming for guys with 13 second and slower cars)...it will get bad gas mileage...you can't drive it across the country...it will be loud...those cars are out of style....it can't run on pump gas..it can't take a turn fast....it will do this...do that...yada yada...

It has nothing to do with the fact that from a dead dig or a roll it will utterly destroy the majority of the faster cars around here...let a lone what it will do to a 13 or 14 second car....

Anways...1300 rwhp seems like alot to some...but the reality is with big block stuff, the right parts, you can make really stout power...build the right big block, throw a procharger to it....wazam...1500-2000rwhp....ouch....
