I believe it was a recent CL-S, I was following him on a straight one-lane road. Every time he floored it, I did too and caught up to him really quickly after 60 mph. I'm not sure if it's because he eases off the accelerator, or my car gets faster. No room to pass, though. Does anyone know if the S can take the CL-S? I believe it has 260hp, but it is also heavy.
I gave him a thumbs-up when we got the traffic light.

Its in the wrong forum, but yes the S is faster than the CL-S by a decent margin. I think the CL-S runs about 14.5-ish in the quarter. A stock S2k can do anywhere from low 14's to high 13's depending on the driver. Those numbers are for the manual CL-S which they only started making in 2003 (and discontinued after one year I believe). The rest were auto's and should be a bit slower.


Either way try to keep the posts in the right forum and the racing on the right roads (safe empty ones or the track).

 

they aren't quick from a roll since they can't get much traction from a dig (hard to launch well). stock for stock they keep up pretty well with a decent driver. the s2k will edge them out. my buddy has a cl-s 6mt and we'll be getting vids of some runs once the weather gets a little better.

I think they made CL-S 5MT from 01-02, just not the 6MT with the LSD that was produced only in 03. You should beat it, but not by much

 

I have an CL-S with I/H/E and I would say it's a drivers race between that and my S with an Intake. I think it's still easier to launch the CL though.

 

I can't wait when they have the Legend back in the line-up. I believed they're gonna called it the Honda Legend instead of the Acura Legend. Haha. I heard those things are suppose to be a V8 400+ hp....

 

Stop it with the Bull$hit. No way Honda will bring the Legend name back. Nor do they have an engine capable of 400 hp in the near future for a production Honda Sedan. Honda doesnt have the balls to make such a car. I've seen the Mugen concept but that is far from a production ready Honda. Did you hear this out of your imagination?
