100% stock civic Si (new models) vs 100% stock TL..

Si always wins
which also means you will spank him with no issues.

proof?

i'd REALLY like to see that. i highly doubt even a TL-S can trap over 100 and you're saying a 04-08 TL can ?

My dad is kind of funny.

He chose the TL over the TSX, though he won't admit it, for the V6 torque. Now he has that engine and seems to think that higher horsepower than the S2000 equates to being faster by default...not taking in to account gearing, power to weight ratio, etc....

And his car is a slushbox auto, so based on the replies to this thread, my assumption of beating him like a red-headed step child is confirmed.

I am not sure if he will ever actually line up against me, he sure talks big but then can never find the time to race??? Probably knows what is inevitable, and he can't ever beat me on the golf course anymore, so I am fairly sure owning the slower car would be an additional harsh reality he doesn't want to face...

Thanks for the replies everybody.

If they are anything like the 06 TL's (not sure if the specs are close or the same) My DB1 with a b16 would beat an auto ("manual shift" and "let the ecu shift") easily to 60mph. I never tried to race my friend with one any farther than that though. I honestly was surprised my DB1 was that fast. I really think it was either my friend is just slow, his car is slower than normal, or I got really lucky ~15 times over a couple month period (unlikely, I am not that lucky).
