you're taking 2 completely different situations and trying to justify one with the other.

WE want a timeslip, because you claim your car is faster than a properly driven M3 (a 13 flat car mind you), and that you're in the low 13's or flat 13's. even though that contradicts your previous statement....

Timeslips are irrelevant when you race someone on the street, in the sense that on the street, there is no timing devices, and it's not a controlled environment, so someone who normally runs a 13.1 on the track, may suck on the street and run 14's. who knows.

in other words, to say you beat an M3 is cool, even if you're the slower car of the two. but to say you're downright faster than a properly driven M3, when you have the slower car, is quite simply... well, stupid.

i see what your saying from that angle. and ill oblige soon. honestly, ive never lost to an M3. and i dont plan on it any time soon. again you must remember, traction is a factor. street VS track. dont compare the 2.

You think your really something huh??? Why don;t you come race my buddy's twin turbo 350z putting out over 700 rwhp for some money? He would be more than willing.

Here is the thread of him beating a blown cobra and camaro supersport and beating them CLICK HERE . This was 200 rwhp ago... Right now he's racing bikes and doing some damage. Come race him and see whats up.
LOL!!!!

Im assuming that would be marin?

That dude jumped the honks TWICE when he ran my friends porsche, then flat out refused to line up with me afterwards(although apparently we did run, and apparently I got smoked according to people he talked to later). Something about seeing a cop and him not wanting to push his luck any more. The only "competition" between him and me, if you even want to call it that, was when he lined up against the 911 the first time and I was behind them. Everyone laid into it, and I had to lift or I would have rearended him. (This is per the owner of the svt focus, not me....I was busy trying to keep the damn car straight).

Then his car dissapeared and would not come out to play until we got tired of screwing around waiting for him to line up on even turf (both cars on race gas, etc).

Im guessing you are the guy with the silver S2k that was there a few times? You need to mod that bitch and start beating down the evos that come out there. I relocated to socal, but I might drag the vette up there at some stage and would love to see the 350Z again, especially since its now so much faster. Would be a good time.
And btw, marins car put down 560rwhp at 16lbs of boost, 700 sounds a little sketchy to me, unless he just about doubled the boost numbers.

See, thats what really pisses me off. "He got me."

We never lined up. That is lame beyond belief. And from what I could tell when he raced the porsche, he'd have gone down pretty hard if we HAD lined up. Pity we didnt. He was very firm about not wanting to race after that, took off for home pretty quick.

And I should post the video from the 911.......honk....honk......wtf? Where is he going?

As for the starbucks, we were out there pretty much every weekend for a month wanting to run the guy. I went out there with a buddy that drives a 408ci shelby cobra replica, tough to miss between the two of us. We also raced an rsx a few times, we kept getting told that it was super fast, and we kept seeing him in the rear view mirror every time.

Man, strange. I'm guessing the 911 was modded or he wasnt as modded as he is now back then? But it if you ever come up let me know and we'll set something up. After seeing him against the blown cobra and SS I would like to see a blown z06 vrs the Z...

And I'm gonna find out about your "race" against him. I'll give him hell dont worry

Blah, I dont really care. Run what you brung.

The 911 has gone 10s at nearly 140. He wasnt planning on racing that night, but decided to on a whim. He was on pump gas, and some stupid low amount of boost. He would have still pulled the Z had marin not jumped the honks, and then swerved into his lane on the second run.

As for my car, I had him handily outpowered and he probably weighs a bit more than me. When he ran my friend the first time, I was right behind the Z, and had to lift completely off the throttle to avoid hitting him.

He made a huge deal of it when we werent there, talked a ton of shit but then wouldnt race any more. More than a few people later told me he knew he got lucky and didnt want to run again. Thats a big thumbs down in my book. If I race and lose, then big deal. Theres always someone faster.

We had a Z06 pushing close to 800hp in Hawaii (EFI Unlimited car) and it ran consistant 9 second quarter times when he shipped it to Texas for tuning. A twin turbo Z would be no match for a ZO6 with that power. Ceds 800+hp Supra wouldnt even run it on H1 back in the day. I know the ZO6 was sold for a Gallardo and Bill was/is working on that car now.

Agree... To be honest with you though I wouldnt say Marin was talking shit. You have met him and know he is a quite guy. Probably his freinds talkin the shit, they always do the talking for him... And all other stuff is behind you guys, hopefully one day he you guys can run a good clean run against his new set up and we can get it on tape. That would be an amzing race to watch. I really dont know how I would watch, I would have too much catching up to do hahaha

True true. I would think a properly blown and tuned z06 could/should win... But this isn't a just a bolt on Z the other hand. He has done everything in the book I can think of besides going the v8 tt route... None the less though, these cars are obviously amazing. I wouldnt know what to with all that power
