Default Hit a small dove!

I was driving on Aliso Viejo Parkway in the Aliso Viejo, California area after work a couple weeks ago. There were two birds on the road, and me thinking they'd fly away, just kept on driving. One flew away, but the other didn't go fast enough and hit the front right side of my front bumper. I just looked in my rearview mirror and saw tons of feathers and the guy next to me laughing. I went home and checked it out....only to find out that the bird got stuck in the front bumper where the crevice is in the front. I had feathers all over my radiator, blood dripping down the holes on the bottom of the front bumper. To make it worse, I had to take the bird out. I managed to pry the dead bird out of the front bumper, but I think there are still some nasty feathers stuck in the front area below the grille. Sucks man, but it was a unique experience indeed.

well, don't want to make you feel worse, but you killed both doves. A dove mates for life and when the mate dies, the other will mourn the death by never leaving his/her side (I guess in this case, they'll never leave the site where it died since you kinda took the bird with you).

So next time someone says Kill Two Birds With One Stone...it is possible: kill a dove.

Oh, that is so sad. Shame on you for not slowing down. You suck! And the guy who was laughing is just an evil SOB. I love doves, they are so cute and adorable. But I did not know about what SoNSX said, that is way too sad. You animal killers are bad!

Sorry about your dove hit, and I'm sorry for the clean up, I know all to well, but do be glad it was only a dove....

I hit a Canadian Goose as it was flying over the road to land in a swamp. I was driving my '90 CRX-Si at the time, and I was moving right along. Let me just say, the end result was a headlight pushed back 1/2" resulting in metal to be reshaped, the radiator was also moved back and the mounting points had to be repaired, and the hood took a nasty whack resulting in a rather large dent. Everything was repaired under comprehensive for my $50 deductible.

I'm a jerk???? Thanks! I was just stating a fact!

Canadian goose! Damn! You're lucky it was only that!! i've seen geese around here do some SERIOUS damage to the front end!!!

I hit a bird once with my mustang. He flew into me actually...my side door.

Birds are dumb. I get woken up in the middle of the night once in a while because one flies into my window. I go outside and they're usually either dead or knocked out in the flower bed by my room! it's funny, yet sad.
