Default Honda Prelude picking on S2000

About a week ago while driving late at night with my gf, I was harrassed by a mid 90 blue with bottom white stripe honda prelude. He wanted to race so he reved and reved and keep on trying to match my speed. My gf is one of those girl who is terrifying of racing. I promised her that I will never race when she is in the car with me. He should get a clue that I am not interest in racing when I did not rev back, but no.... he kept on provoking to the point that I got really pissed off. The dude followed me for like half a block trying to provoke me to race. I slow down and so did he. I changed rear and speed a little and he did the same. I looked at him and saw his face was smirking and only looking ahead. Finally I have to make a left turn, that is when he took off.
I went home got really pissed off. Today, I was on my way driving home and guess what? I saw the same car and I was alone. I reved couple time to get his attention. To make it short, we did two rolls on McFadden at around 30 mph and I spanked him really .... really bad. It was not even close. He got gauge and exhaust. It was so satisfied that I spank the dude for what he did that night. He was not even look at me after I spank him.

I guess he must have some mods that made him think he can hang with S2000. Other times I raced for fun, this time it was personal. Integrate, I guess there is no luck finding a STOCK vette yet.

I dont understand what these prelude drivers are thinking Their cars are 3000 lbs with 200 hp. Ours are 2800 with 240hp. Both cars have similar engines with low torque. Unless the prelude is heavily modded, otherwise it has no chance (on a roll ).

A prelude with I/H/E may have a chance if the driver can launch well, if the S2K driver sucks.

If the S2000 owner has spent more than 10 minutes behind the wheel, even a Prelude with I/H/E is doomed. I should know.. I have one. It's nice, and it's fairly fast.. for a FWD sports coupe. The S2000 will pull, and pull, and pull some more on most any Prelude. Preludes with FI are a different story, but then again, so are blown/turbo'ed S2000s. Even Preludes that go all-out NA (read: $$$) only get around 220-240 at the wheels. That's just barely enough to beat the S2K's stock power-to-weight ratio.

mmm... S2000.. I can't wait.

those preludes seem fast all souped up. There is one in my school, headers, exhaust, intake, and a body kit. He says he ru ns 230HP and has beaten many nice cars. I rode with him one day and he beat a 2001 firebird (seemed modded) and later on wiped a ricey civic.
I guess the weight does play a big factor sometiems, I know from my experience with my 96 firebird the car weight seems to make it slower when i get up to higher speeds, like 70 or so.
An s2000 should wip on these guys fast, the vtec engine, the weight, and 240HP. I need to get one so i can beat these punks that think their ricey cars are bad ass.

good kill man, teach those guys a lesson.

looks like he just wanted to run you, thats what i do when i see a race car with a younger kinda guy in it, im assuiming they bought it to race... but he didnt look at you and give a thumbs up or a smile after he lost, which probably means he did think he could win haha.... ive won many times, and lost many times, but il ltry my best to give a big smile, or a wave to anyone i lose to, or win, its just funner when you keep a good attitude... i guess im too nice, i go into races and etc assuming people are like me, just having fun and enjoying the atmosphere, i guess not everyone can enjoy it in that kinda way....

but hey!
nice kill!

with all the NA mods and even major engine work. Most of the prelude guys havea heck of a time breaking 200whp. The prelude isn't a good platform to do NA mods, you need FI for sure. Personally, I think it is a waste of time and money to make a prelude fast, they are definately more for looks and cruising.

Prelude guys should go and race RSX type S's, more close match, but even then, they will still lose. Most of my friends have preludes and all of them want to ditch it because of the performance and the fact that punk kids everywhere have them now.
