No reason to bash here. He made a mistake, no one was hurt, and hopefully he learned something. If he came in and said "This car sucks, it handles like crap, its unstable, its blah blah blah" THEN you bash him.

As it is, his insurance is going to go up dramatically and he has to live with a few weeks of embarassment here and at home.

I don't see anything in his post that looks like a sympathy plea. He told what happened, said it sucked. I don't see anything in there asking how many people feel sorry for him. One of the reasons for S2ki.com (to me) is sharing s2k stories, good and bad. Someone else can read this and maybe think "hmmm, maybe I shouldn't be doing 70 around the corner from my house cause bad unexpected things could happen. Not likely with the crowd but you never know

some magazine took a bunch of sports cars to the track and wrote about it. The S was a dog and at the bottom but they did a test running over bumps and rated the S the most stable. Obviously this was not stable enuf. The car loves to move or hop around. Question, what was your reaction after hitting the bump. Sometimes i swear letting go of the steering wheel over bumps yields the best and most stable line. but what do i know.

This is a sad story on how I crash my 2004 s2000. I was rushing to school and I lost it. I was going down hill through a S turn around 70 and hit a bump which cause my rear end to give out. I turn 45 degrees and slam my rear drive tire into the curb and spun 180 landing rite in the middle of the street. ****.... my rim was gone, split my rotors, looks like a broke axel, both upper and lower control arms are gone...... I'm lucky I have insurance but damn this is a bitch. But lucky no body damage at all and looks like no frame

Sorry about your car, glad you're OK... now here comes the sarcastic part...
Thanks for doing your part to ensure my insurance rates go up AGAIN this year!!
Insurance rates are based of average vehicle repair costs, and has nothing to do w/ individual accidents.

What does this mean? His insurance will go up, and his alone.....thanks.

Insurance is so multi-factoral.

My ducati cost 200 a year versus 1800 for the same coverage on my 600F4i. The kicker is the Duck is 2X the price.

The 911 turbo is < 60 a month for 100/300 versus 120 for the S2k ...

A few years back I took my then track toy on track tires to the airport because it was nice and sunny out and I wanted to enjoy the drive out there.

A storm cell dumped rain right at the airport entrance; I spun the car around the major left hander before the airport went off the road and clipped 2 sign polls, one with each bumper just barely.
Wow, you're stupid as hell. Holy shit.
